Had His Power Over Me
And I became entrapped in his spell. He vistited me when a child was under my care and even then his compassion left me spellbound. Why he wanted the babe I did not know at the time, but I knew that strong emotions stirred in his eyes; emotions of regret, sorrow and perhaps even desire? Could it of been love? But love doesn't exist at first sight unless I discovered something unearthly. Then the king came and I saw the same eyes, but they were different. Instead of compassion they held no sympathy. He came closer and my anxiety rose. The more frightened I was the more powerful and majestic his presence became. I got the idea this was a man who was going to have things his way and get what he wants no matter what----and he wanted me.
